SUGGESTIONS FOR NEXT PCC

Hi guys,

Thanks for the wonderful, torturous ride. It was fun and enjoyable for our group from Singapore. We do hope that perhaps for future events like this, your oranisers may come up with some small improvements like these.....

Basically,

1. there's not enough "bananas" to go around AFTER stage 1,
2. there's no bike mechanic posted on all 4 stations to assit in small minor mechanical support work;
- LAST BUT NOT LEAST,
3, with so many good sponsors, not a single station carries a single drop of bicyle lubricants.

Tho such things are "relative" trivial, but they are essentially crucial in rides like this. Hope my suggestions help for next year's ride. We will surely come back for 2008's ride again

Thx guys and cheers

Hi Singapore
Glad that you like the ride and I do hope you encourage more to join next year. We always value constructive comments. Actually the plan was to only have feeding station at CP3 as by then it is needed most. The bananas was suppose to be handed out at start point as a bonus for riders who would like to bring along. In any case the ride is suppose to be as self supported as possible. I guess the bananas at CP 1 was a bonus and not planned. Two years ago we had order hundreds of nasi lemak at CP1 and we had to throw away hundreds as not many took them.

As for bike mechanic it is a good suggestion perhaps we can have one station at one or two CPs. Perhaps next year we could ask the bike shops to supply. Lets see.

As for lubricant. Again you do need to be self supported or at least work on a buddy system. However you are right too perhaps we can keep some spare for emergencies. Will consider.

Thanks for you comments and support.

Dear Administrator and all members,

We have to admit that this PCC ride was "quite an experience" and we did enjoyed ourselves throughly. We planned to return next year again with more people from Singapore
