hi,

What type of helmet you guys wearing? I saw RM25 helmet for bike in Carrefour yesterday. RM39 in Jaya Jusco. Is that the kind of helmet bikers use?

I would say if you ride around the block these are ok. But if you want to ride more often and further out, I suggest you buy one from the specialist bike shops. They have many good brands there. No need top of the line but one that is durable and comfortable.

thanks,

My most concern is that these helmet must be able to protect my head if any accident occur. The RM25 helmet looks thin, I doubt about it's quality. What's the range of price of helmet should I look for? or is there any specific brand?

i would absolutely NOT buy a cheap helmet from anywhere. you get what you pay for - a cheap helmet will offer little protection, fall to bits in no time, and look very uncool!

think how much you value your head - buy the most expensive helmet you can afford! good brands are Giro, Bell, Catlike, Rudy Project.

Sherrine

this is one area no skimping should be done. This is a matter of life or death. Invest in a proper helmet. You can find this in a bike shop. Even roller blading helmets may be acceptable. They should a thick enough styrofoam base with cushioning and an exterior plastic protective cover.

Make sure you get a proper fit. Adjust the straps until you can fit 2 finger between the strap and your chin. Too loose and the helmet might fall off your cranium. Too tight and you might pengsan..hahaha

Cheers

thanks all for the feedback. Really appreciate it coz I know nothing about bike. I'll check out the bike shop in Taman Melawati. It looks like a pro bike shop coz I saw professional bike in there. I bet they have the helmets that I should get. Thanks Very Happy
