SINGAPORE-BIKE ASIA MOUNTAIN BIKE CROSS-COUNTRY MARATHON 100km RACE- Saturday 12th April 2008
'SIGN UP for Registration!
'In celebration' of Singapore's win to host the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games 2010, and the first Bicycle and Motorcycle Exhibition/Show in South East Asia, the Bike Asia 2008 comes to Singapore for the first time.
Participants will get a chance to race in SOLO, DUO or QUAD against an international field of top 'Enduro riders'
Leading the pack is Endurance Solo Specialist Tinker Juarez, reigning US 24hr MTB Champion, Olympian and a inductee to the 'Mountain bike & BMX Hall of fame'.
Furthermore, there's a brand new section of the ' Tampines Mountain Bike Park ' to complete a 10km circuit (part of the soon to be upgraded venue for Youth Olympics Games 2010 cycling events for MTB & BMX) and a specially constructed 'KIDS' XC course.
Participants will get the chance to win:
Cash, products and luckydraw prizes (total value of $30,000), free entry into BikeAsia EXPO itself, bike frames, hydration bags, saddles and lots more of other goodies.
Be the first 'Singlespeeder' to cross the line for the SOLO category...definitely lots of BRAGGIN' rights to shout for!
To further enhance the appeals for visitors and the image that bicycles and motorcycle have in our culture, actress Sophia Loren, has accepted the invitation as a guest at the opening ceremony of BikeAsia and at the gala dinner.
