1. Take the North South Highway (Sg. Besi Toll) heading southbound.
2. Take Exit 210 Kajang (pay RM1.80). Zero trip meter at Toll Plaza. (0.00km)
3. Immediately take RIGHT elevated ramp towards Putrajaya. (0.500 km)
4. Continue along E18 SILK Highway.
5. IMMEDIATE AFTER the Serdang Hospital exit, EXIT LEFT and hop onto PERSIARAN UTARA INTERCHANGE (Putrajaya-bound) - (4.2km) N2.97080 E101.72044
5. Travel for another 1.6km and take the NEXT LEFT EXIT and hop onto PERSIARAN TIMUR (6.0km). (N2.95807 E101.71548)
6. Keep traveling on this road for another 6km. Along the way you will pass Alamanda Shopping Complex / Carrefour on the other side of the highway.
7. At around 12km on your tripmeter, you will find a cloverleaf interchange - TAKE THE LEFT EXIT SIGNPOSTED "KAJANG" (12.0km) N2.90919 E101.71632
8. You're off the highway now and onto small so travel for about 800metres before you came to a T-junction. (12.8km) N2.90337 E101.72037 and TURN RIGHT.
9. Just go down this small road for a further 400 metres and you will see the Hare Mobiles. Park under the shady rubber trees if you can still find a spot! N2.90236 E101.71776

This area HAS NOT been hashed before by bike or by foot. The Scenic Ride is the easiest scenic ride in my living memory. In fact you can do two laps if you like! The Long Ride will be about 22kms. The area does not have any big hills but looks can be deceiving as there will be sharp descents and some stiff climbing. A large chunk of the Long Ride will be under cover but bring your sunblock nevertheless.

See you there!

Some pics of the ride ..

For those coming from PJ / Puchong area :

Use your favourite route to get to Tollplaza Puchong Selatan along the LDP. Basically this is the southernmost toll plaza along the LDP which is Putrajaya bound. PJ traffic have to pass Sunway Toll, Puchong (IOI Mall, Giant, Tesco, Tractors, Pelikan) before getting to this tollplaza. Just follow "Putrajaya" and you'd be fine. For the unitiated, the tricky part is at Tractors Malaysia - just pay attention to the signboards and exit accordingly. This will take you to Tollplaza Puchong Selatan.

1. Trip zero at Tollplaza Puchong Selatan (0.00km) N2.98124 E101.63626
2. Continue along this highway for 3.2kms before you hit the giant multilane interchange. KEEP LEFT and the take the LEFT-MOST EXIT signposted "Kajang". This takes you on SILK Highway E26. N2.97792 E101.66353. (3.2kms)
3. Travel along this highway for about 6kms and you will see KDVT (on your right), MARDI Agri Expo Park (on your left), IOI Resort (on your right). Take the next LEFT EXIT after IOI Resort to get onto Persiaran Utara. N2.97150 E101.71546 (9.3kms)
4. Travel for another 1.6km and take the NEXT LEFT EXIT and hop onto PERSIARAN TIMUR (10.9km). (N2.95807 E101.71548)
5. Keep traveling on this road for another 6km. Along the way you will pass Alamanda Shopping Complex / Carrefour on the other side of the highway.
6. You will find a cloverleaf interchange - TAKE THE LEFT EXIT SIGNPOSTED "KAJANG" (16.9km) N2.90919 E101.71632
7. You're off the highway now and onto small so travel for about 800metres before you came to a T-junction. (18.0km) N2.90337 E101.72037 and TURN RIGHT.
8. Just go down this small road for a further 400 metres and you will see the Hare Mobiles. Park under the shady rubber trees if you can still find a spot! N2.90236 E101.71776

Caver, did not see you or your son last Sunday. There was a few more families with kids there last weekend. The ride was quiet ok for kids. Around 8KM and mostly very rideable. No major hills like ROver but a few climb on tarmac but very short ones. Overall my son enjoyed himself on his first hash.

Met up with 2 dads with kids one age 7 and one 10. Hopefully we will hook them up next for a kiddie ride sometime soon.

I am off overseas for 2 weeks so will not be organizing any weekend kiddie ride until i am back. Probably the next one would be 29 December at FRIM
Keep you all posted.

Cheers
Merry Christmas!

Shucks, missed out all the fun! Haven't been riding for 4+ years, and am now behaving like just a kid.

Anyway, took Jr for a ride in FRIM on Sun afternoon. He crashed big time at the junction of Rover and Bukit Hari whilst speeding down Rover. Thank God it was just bumps and bruises on the chest and thighs. The Mrs was pretty mad. Well, accidents do happen.

See you on the 29th then. Happy holidays and Merry X-mas.

Aiya Yong, not sure if able to make it. Son's got classes. Couldn't make it last week as I was down with the flu. Enjoy the ride.

Just an after-thought; could you schedule the ride in the afternoon? Say 2.30 or 3pm? Caver, what do you think?

God willing, I 'll be there with my son. Yong, by the way, will you be bringing your son to the KLMBH bash this month? It's in Kiara and they mentioned that children may not be able to complete the scenic ride. But I guess there'll be 'chicken' routes as well.

Herbert,
I am not planning to do Kiara bash with my kiddo. I think it is quiet tough for the small ones. It is steep and also not very forgiving. Even the easy part is not so easy for beginners. Perhaps we could do the next one at Ulu Yam which I think should be more kiddo friendly.

Sad. How about Sunday then ? PCC troop is going to Sg Sendat. Perhaps the kiddies can do a ride in and out to the camping area of the river. I think it is around 5K in and 5K out. But an relatively easy ride.
